  • Yes it is a road sign with a bit of lichen on it. Pretty, no, but I still liked it. Manipulated in Lightroom to remove the red in the sign to emphasize lichen.

  • A combination of interesting wooden staircase in Hallet Cove reserve and a very wide lense. I am a sucker for the exagerated perspective such wide angle lensees give you. Decided to present it as black and white as it gives more emphasis to the lines in the image.

  • Spent ages working with ideas to capture this detail shot of a set of rocks as I waited for some interesting colour to develop in the sky. In the end it was the simplest image of all that I liked the most.

  • Flat White 2

  • For me this shot is all about contrasting colours. I love the yellow flower on the field of green, while keeping horizontal lines of the the flower and the broad flat leaves.

  • Part of series of pictures from yet another droplet experiments. This one especially appealed because of the symmetry of the whole shot. Actually thnk I am getting the hang of doing this now.

  • An image from one of the sheds at the Woidt family farm. Obviously just me being taken with the moelling effect of the light.

  • Looking for things to photograph in the backyaed and I came across this poor bug. A sticky end but also a nice opportunity for a macro shot. Really will need to cleanup the spider webs.

  • First day in our new place in Sydney, we had an air matress, two camp chairs and a TV. The big rooms in the house had a quality that made even light seem to echo.

  • I like the way the water was caught on the edge of this little mushroom in the garden. They were incrediby delicate and you could watch them wither and brown in minutes as the full sun heated them.

  • This is a detail from a photo of some cicadas on a tree at my parents place. I was amazed at the way you could see the light shining through the shells of thier eyes.

  • A late afternoon image when I was exploring near my home. This is just a detail from some barbwire that was left abandoned in the grass. Never sure what it is about this kind of image which appeals to me, maybe the way the the background grasss has been reduced to almost flamlike quality by the lens blur.
